Residential Roofing in DentonYou come home from work one day, and something isn’t quite right. Perhaps there’s a bit of water leaking in your house, or maybe you can hear a different kind of pitter-patter of raindrops on the ceiling. Whatever it is, you’re worried that there may be a problem with the exterior work on your roof.
What do you do? That’s simple; you give Complete Denton Roofing Company a call to come and take a look. Our team will inspect your roof to determine its stability. We don’t want you to have any reservations about calling us, so we offer this service free of charge. We’ll let you know if you are looking at needing a roof replacement or if everything is okay. If you are calling us because water is leaking inside, it is usually not okay. “But I Don’t See Any Leaks” That doesn’t mean that there isn’t a problem. If you have shingles on your roof, they have a limited lifespan. They are just asphalt as this makes them watertight. The granules adhere to the outer surface of the shingle. Over time, with repeated rain and hail, though, this asphalt will show signs of wear and tear. With every hailstone that hits it, the granules are rubbed off. When the coating is gone, the shingles are no longer waterproof. The sun will eat the asphalt away and you’ll have water seeping in through the decking. Our inspections are literally free of charge. There is no reason not to have an annual inspection to at least give you the peace of mind that your roof is safe. This water seeping in might not be enough to cause a noticeable leak, at first. The problem with this is that extra moisture inside the ceiling makes conditions perfect for mold and rot to set in. The only way to check for this kind of issue is to get up close and personal with the shingles. Let us do it for you, its our job. We’ll tell you if you’re looking at a roof replacement or a repair, but usually you're good to go! What Process Do You Follow? First things first, our inspector comes out to your home and checks for damages in your roof. If they feel that the damage will warrant a claim to your insurers, they’ll take pictures and document the damage. They’ll then come to you and discuss whether you need a roof replacement or repairs. From there, our inspector will walk you through the process of making an insurance claim for a roof replacement. Dealing with insurers in the case of a roof replacement can be tricky for homeowners. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. As part of our service, we’ll make sure that your forms are completed correctly and that you provide the insurer with everything that they need. The insurer then sends out an adjuster to check whether a roof replacement is warranted. Insurance companies have gotten more and more stubborn over the years. They exist for profit and will cut corners any way they think they can. For this reason, we prefer to meet with the adjuster when they come out to inspect your claim. This way we can make sure they don't "skip over" a few hail dings, make sure they do include your damaged fence in the paperwork, and include any other collateral damage that occurred because of the storm. Once the claim has been approved, we will have a meeting with all of the decision makers in the house. We pick colors (we don't recommend black shingles because Texas roofs get very, very hot; white is not the best idea either because they turn brown over the years), talk about our FREE shingle and ventilation upgrade, and plan a good day for install. We start ordering the supplies that we need. As another service to our community, we automatically upgrade our clients to architectural shingles rather than three-tab shingles. We wouldn’t be caught dead putting three-tab shingles on our home here in Denton. They’re not a good fit for how often we get hail damage. Architectural shingles are more hail-resistant and stand up to wear and tear better. We do this because if we’re going to offer a roof replacement, we want to do it properly.
